Verify Your CNC Machine Performance Before Purchase
Buying a CNC machine is a capability decision, not simply a catalog decision. For suitable applications, sample machining can help evaluate the proposed machine, process, tooling and inspection requirements under agreed test conditions.
Sample machining is coordinated through selected machine builders, application centers or qualified partner facilities. The test location, machine model, tooling, inspection items and sample requirements are confirmed according to the project conditions.
Sample machining is subject to technical feasibility, machine availability and an agreed test scope. Material, tooling, fixture, inspection, shipping, cost and schedule requirements are confirmed before testing.

Where technically feasible, sample parts are machined from the customer’s specified or supplied material according to the agreed drawing, material condition and test requirements.

The sample machining time is recorded under the agreed test conditions and may be used as a technical reference for production planning. Actual production output may vary according to loading, inspection, tool life, material consistency and operating conditions.

Agreed dimensions and inspection items are measured and documented according to the confirmed test scope. Available inspection items may include diameter, length, runout, geometry and surface finish.

The sample process may include the tooling concept, cutting parameters and machining sequence used during the agreed test. Final production parameters remain subject to machine configuration, material condition and further process optimization.
Our Sample Machining Process
A typical sample machining project follows four steps. The final test machine and scope are confirmed after technical review.

Send your drawings — we review your material, tolerances, and batch size, then plan the test on the machine model you are considering.

The part is machined on the proposed machine model or a suitable equivalent at an agreed test location, using the confirmed tooling, fixture and process conditions.

The agreed critical dimensions and inspection items are checked and documented according to the confirmed test requirements.

You receive the agreed sample parts, available inspection records and a summary of the test conditions to support the next stage of technical and commercial evaluation.
Sample machining results apply only to the recorded machine configuration, material, tooling, fixture, program and test conditions. They do not constitute guaranteed mass-production results unless separately confirmed in the final technical agreement.
